A Thai court has removed PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra from office over a contentious leaked phone call
The Shinawatras, led by Paetongtarn's father and former PM Thaksin, are the country's most powerful political dynasty - so this is a huge blow for them
The leaked call with ex-Cambodian leader Hun Sen was intended to mend relations over a worsening border dispute
When he leaked it, revealing that Paetongtarn criticised the Thai army and appeared to be placating him, it embarrassed the PM and her party
She apologised, saying it was a "negotiating tactic" - but furious senators demanded her resignation and petitioned the court
Paetongtarn is now the fifth leader since 2008 to be dismissed by this court, plunging Thailand into uncertainty yet again.
